Why clean your rug
A rug is your home’s filter: everything that falls on the floor ends up at the base of the pile. The vacuum cleaner picks up what’s on top; what stays below is grit that cuts the fibres every time you step on it, fine dust that rises into the air and, if you have pets, hair and dander that no brush can reach.
Injection‑extraction pushes hot water and eco-friendly detergent down to the base of the pile and vacuums it back up in the same pass. It draws the dirt out, lifts flattened pile and leaves the rug damp, not wet, right where it lies.

In your home, right on the floor. The injection‑extraction machine vacuums the water up in the same pass, so neither the rug nor the floor gets soaked. You save yourself the collection, the transport and the weeks without your rug.
Between 4 and 6 hours depending on the fibre and ventilation; long pile and wool may need a little longer. If we clean in the morning, you can walk on it by the evening. It’s best not to put the furniture back on it until it’s completely dry.
Yes. We use lukewarm water, never hot, and pH-neutral detergent, and before we start we check on a corner that the dyes don’t bleed. With that care, wool won’t shrink or felt.
Yes. Urine sinks down to the base of the pile and sometimes through to the back, which is why surface cleaners don’t work. We inject an enzyme product that breaks down the cause of the odour, then extract it. If it has reached the floor, we’ll tell you.
Yes, and they’re among the ones that change most. Double vacuuming, slow extraction and a final brush in one direction so the pile stands up evenly, without matting.
Plant fibres can’t take pressurised water: they’re cleaned with dry foam and vacuuming. Viscose and silk are very delicate; in some cases we advise against cleaning them with water. We assess it from your photo and tell you what’s possible before we come.
Once a year with normal use. Every six months if you have pets, children who play on the floor or allergies at home, or if it’s in a high-traffic area. A timely clean adds years to the life of the fibres.
